VDZ System
The innovative VDZ lifting and recovery system, developed by a leading vehicle recovery company in Europe, offers a modern solution for recovering and transporting vehicles across the UK. Through extensive development and collaboration with vehicle manufacturers, the VDZ system is compatible with all modern trucks, ensuring safe, damage-free towing.
As new truck designs emerge, traditional recovery methods can risk damage by not accounting for modern vehicle lifting requirements. The VDZ system addresses this challenge by utilising manufacturers' built-in towing and lifting points, proven through rigorous, long-distance trials across Europe, including in the UK.
One of the biggest advantages of the VDZ system is the safer working environment it provides for operators. It eliminates the need for recovery drivers to perform pre-lifts, stand casualty vehicles on supports, or lie underneath them to attach chains and tensioners. By using the manufacturer-specified lifting points, the system also shifts the lifting point forward, reducing the weight load on the recovery vehicle and helping to maintain legal rear axle weight limits. This reduces the "see-saw" effect experienced when lifting from the front axle.
The full VDZ System kit includes 25 components, offering compatibility with all modern trucks and providing a streamlined, efficient, and safer towing solution.
Trailer Service Center
Our state-of-the-art facility houses overhead cranes, pit facilities, truck and trailer vehicle lift facilities, 200t workshop presses and extra wide brake roller testing to cater for over width trailers. We also use the very latest in welding, plasma and flame cutting equipment, operated by our trained and highly skilled staff. You can also find specialist OEM tooling, hydraulic jig straightening, painting and refinishing, hydraulic hoses, fittings and tube supplied and made on site.
Training Centre
Being able to accommodate for over 50 people on site really helps us a company offer a full package, and here at Rydam we have everything under one roof. Training is delivered by leading industry professionals, with industry leading syllabuses and materials. We believe having the ability to touch and feel with onsite practical courses is imperative, that’s why training at our high-end facility ranges from user compliance courses, maintenance courses to technical learning on ebs and abs.

We have invested heavily over the last few years to be able to grow our business in a way that meets our customers’ needs and expectations. Using the latest in high definition cnc plasma cutters we are able to mass produce unmanned identical items every time with little to no after cut prep. Doing this reduces downtime and improves the standard of the finished product. To add to this we have implemented a variety of new CLOOS welding systems, high amperage synergic pulse mig sets, high amperage synergic pulse tig sets and the latest in hand held plasma torch cutters from Lincoln.
Some of the services we can offer; aluminium mig and tig welding, stainless steel mig and tig welding, mild steel mig and tig welding and high tensile steel mig welding. We keep a variety of materials on stock, aluminium profiles, plate, rhs section and heavy high tensile Swedish steel plate, mainly Strenx high performance steel which suits the nature of the business. This allows us to produce items which are not only light and flexible but 3 times the strength of their inferior counterparts.
Onsite bending, forming, shearing, punching and cropping also available as well as lathe machining.
